The Hidden Cruelty Behind Milk: What Every Indian Deserves to Know

🕊️ “Milk is sacred,” they said. But what if that milk came from the pain of a crying mother, and a baby who never saw her again?

🌼 Introduction: Is Milk Really Harmless?

We offer milk to God. We drink it every day in tea, coffee, sweets, and curd. We believe cows are sacred. But no one ever told us how that milk is taken.

Today, I want to tell you the truth, step-by-step, so even a beginner can understand. No complex terms. No judgment. Just facts. After all, if something is truly pure, why is the truth hidden?

🐮 Step-by-Step: How Milk Is Really Made (Full Truth)

1. A Cow Does Not Give Milk Just Like That

Just like human mothers, cows give milk only when they are pregnant and give birth. That’s how nature works.

So if we want milk, the first step is:

The cow must be made pregnant.

2. Forced Pregnancy: Artificial Insemination

The cow is not allowed to live naturally. She is forcefully made pregnant through artificial insemination.

This is done by inserting a metal rod with bull semen into her body. Often, she is tied or beaten if she resists. This is done again and again throughout her life.

She has no choice. It’s not love. It’s a system of control.

3. The Calf Is Born… and Then Taken Away

After 9 months of pregnancy, the cow gives birth. Just like a human mother, she wants to feed and love her baby.

But the dairy owner takes away the calf—sometimes within hours.

Why? Because:

👉 The baby will drink the milk, and
👉 The milk is for selling, not feeding calves

The mother cries, searches, calls out. This is not a story—it’s what every dairy worker has seen.

4. What Happens to the Baby?

💔 If the calf is male:

  • He is useless to the dairy industry.

  • He is either:

    • Left to starve

    • Tied in a corner without milk

    • Sold to butchers for slaughter

💔 If the calf is female:

  • She will be raised as the next milk-giving slave

  • She will go through the same painful cycle as her mother

The calf never gets a full life—only pain from day one.

5. Daily Milking Begins – Her Pain Is Just Starting

Now the cow is milked twice a day. But that milk was made for her baby.

Instead of feeding her child, her body is exploited for business.

Her body becomes weak. Her legs shake. She gets wounds and infections. But she is still milked.

If she gives less milk, she is beaten, kicked, or shouted at in many places.

6. When Her Milk Starts Reducing… Injections Are Given

To increase her milk:

  • She is injected with oxytocin or hormones.

  • These force her body to produce milk unnaturally.

  • The cow feels severe pain, and sometimes, bleeds from her private parts.

  • It causes uterus damage, fever, and suffering

Some die due to side effects.

All this… just so the milk keeps flowing.

7. When She Gives No More Milk, Her Life Ends

Once her body becomes too tired, and she stops producing milk, she is called “unproductive.”

What happens next?

  • She is abandoned on streets.

  • Or sold to illegal slaughterhouses.

  • Or sent to gaushalas, where thousands live with poor care, sickness, and silence.

This is how her life ends — used and thrown away.

The same “Gomata” we worship — we discard when she can’t give us more.

💔 Even In Villages and Homes, This Happens

People often say, “But in my village, cows are treated with love!”

Let’s be honest:

  • Are calves allowed to drink all the milk? Or just a little?

  • Are injections used when milk reduces?

  • Are old cows kept till natural death? Or sold quietly?

Even in villages, the system has changed. Today, it’s about profit, not compassion.

❌ What About Organic or Ahimsa Milk?

Let’s break the Myths vs. Truth:

MythTruth
"Calf drinks first, then we take milk"Calf is still separated and doesn’t get full milk
"This is Ahimsa milk"If there is forced pregnancy, calf separation, injections, it’s not Ahimsa
"Our cow is treated with love"Is she used for milk? Is she kept when old? That’s not full love.
"Krishna drank milk"Krishna never injected cows, separated calves, or ran a dairy business.

🌱 What Are the Alternatives?

You don’t need cruelty to enjoy your favorite dishes. Today, you can get:

  • Peanut milk (ಕಡಲೆಬೀಜ ಹಾಲು)

  • Soy milk (ಸೊಯಾ ಹಾಲು)

  • Coconut milk (ತೆಂಗಿನ ಹಾಲು)

  • Almond milk (ಬಾದಾಮಿ ಹಾಲು)

  • Oat milk (ಓಟ್ ಹಾಲು)

You can even make:

  • Curd (with peanut or soy)

  • Vegan ghee

  • Vegan sweets

  • Vegan paneer

All 100% cruelty-free, nutritious, and tasty.

🙏 Dharma, Devotion, and Compassion

Lord Krishna loved cows. But He never supported cruelty.

Would He bless ghee made from a mother cow who was:

  • Forcefully impregnated

  • Had her baby taken away

  • Injected with pain

  • And finally sent to die?

Real Dharma is doing what is right, not what is common.

You can still offer food to God—with plant-based milk, coconut, fruits, and compassion.

❤️ Final Words: Don’t Support Pain with Your Plate

If you truly love cows...
If you believe in Ahimsa...
If you respect Dharma...

Then say NO to dairy.

Say YES to love that doesn’t harm anyone.

🌱 I Gave Up Curd Overnight — For the Animals. Here's What Happened.

Dear readers, I want to share something deeply personal. This is not just a story — it's a shift that changed my life forever. I’ve always been a pure vegetarian . Like many, I used dairy every day — especially curd . I loved curd. I used it religiously, especially during lunch. It helped my digestion, gave me peace, and was something I looked forward to. So much so that if I skipped curd even for a day, my meal felt incomplete. It became a part and parcel of my life . I never imagined that I would give it up. Let alone — overnight. 😔 💥 The Turning Point One day, casually scrolling through content, I came across a simple line in a video: “ Be vegan — because the only life that truly belongs to us is our own. ” That one sentence hit differently. I paused. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I began researching — watching YouTube videos, documentaries, and even asking ChatGPT. Slowly, I started to understand the hidden cruelty behind dairy . What I discovered shattered me. 🥛 Mi...

Why Veganism is a Path of Dharma: A Devotee’s Call to Serve Lord Hanuman and All Living Beings

  1. My Deepest Devotion – Why Hanuman Ji Means Everything to Me Ever since I can remember, I have been drawn to Lord Hanuman . His unmatched strength, his humility, and above all, his unconditional love for his Mother, Father  and   Lord Rama — these qualities made me fall in love with Him. But my devotion didn’t stop with just prayers or chants. Over time, I began to reflect: “What does it really mean to live like Hanuman Ji? What does it mean to serve Him with my heart?” That’s where my vegan journey began — not as a trend, but as an expression of my Bhakti. 2. Hanuman – The Protector of All Living Beings Hanuman Ji is known as the guardian of the weak — the one who helps the helpless. He never harmed a single innocent being. He crossed oceans, lifted mountains, and destroyed evil — but never once for ego. Only for Dharma . He is the symbol of Ahimsa (non-violence) , even though He has the power to destroy the universe.
