๐ŸŒฑ I Gave Up Curd Overnight — For the Animals. Here's What Happened.

Dear readers,

I want to share something deeply personal. This is not just a story — it's a shift that changed my life forever.

I’ve always been a pure vegetarian. Like many, I used dairy every day — especially curd. I loved curd. I used it religiously, especially during lunch. It helped my digestion, gave me peace, and was something I looked forward to. So much so that if I skipped curd even for a day, my meal felt incomplete.

It became a part and parcel of my life.
I never imagined that I would give it up.
Let alone — overnight. ๐Ÿ˜”

๐Ÿ’ฅ The Turning Point

One day, casually scrolling through content, I came across a simple line in a video:

Be vegan — because the only life that truly belongs to us is our own.

That one sentence hit differently. I paused. I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

I began researching — watching YouTube videos, documentaries, and even asking ChatGPT. Slowly, I started to understand the hidden cruelty behind dairy.

What I discovered shattered me.

๐Ÿฅ› Milk Isn’t a Symbol of Purity

It’s a product of pain, exploitation, and violence.

I couldn’t sleep. I felt guilt. I cried.
Not because I was weak… but because I had lived unaware for so long.

๐Ÿ„ The Horrifying Truth Behind Dairy

Let’s break it down — not with hate, but with facts:

  • Cows don’t give milk naturally all the time.
They give milk only after giving birth — just like any other mother.

  • To keep milk flowing, dairy farms forcefully impregnate cows — usually through artificial insemination.
    Let’s be honest — it’s non-consensual and cruel. It’s a form of violence.

  • Once a calf is born, it’s separated from the mother — often within hours.

  • If it’s a male calf, it’s usually sent to slaughter because it’s not “useful.”

  • If it’s a female, she’s raised to become the next milk-producing machine.

  • The mother cries for her baby.
Animals feel. Their bond is real.
    Separation is trauma.

  • After 4–5 pregnancies, the cow is considered “unprofitable” and is either slaughtered or abandoned — where she might eat plastic and suffer till death.

So when we drink milk or eat curd, we’re supporting a cycle of:

Rape
Separation
Slaughter

This isn’t “just business” — it’s mass exploitation, masked as tradition.

๐Ÿ’” A Mother’s Pain for Our Taste

Ask yourself this:

How would it feel to be:

  • Forcefully impregnated,

  • Have your baby taken away,

  • And once exhausted and no longer useful,

  • Be abandoned or killed?

That’s the price every cow pays — for our milk, curd, butter, cheese, and ghee.

When I realized this…
I was done.
No debate. No delay. No second thought.
That night, I became vegan. ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿฅ— But What About Calcium and Health?

We don’t need cow’s milk to be healthy.
There are plant-based alternatives that are nutritious and cruelty-free.

✅ Milk Alternatives:

  • Oat milk

  • Soy milk

  • Almond milk

✅ Calcium Sources:

  • Ragi (finger millet)

  • Sesame seeds

  • Moringa

✅ Protein Sources:

  • Lentils

  • Tofu

  • Peas

  • Chickpeas

๐ŸŒฟ Nature gives us everything we need — without hurting anyone.

๐Ÿ’š Why You Should Consider Going Vegan

Here’s why I believe every compassionate soul should consider this shift:

๐Ÿพ End animal cruelty and exploitation
๐ŸŒ Protect the environment — dairy contributes to greenhouse gases
๐Ÿ’ช Improve your health — lower risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer
✨ Live aligned with your values — kindness, non-violence, honesty
๐Ÿ™ Support real spirituality — hurting others for taste is not divine
๐Ÿฎ Let animals live with dignity, not as machines

๐Ÿ•Š️ From Ignorance to Light

I didn’t know.
And when I did, I couldn’t unsee it.

So I gave up dairy — not because it was easy — but because compassion meant more than comfort.

If you’ve ever felt uncomfortable seeing a cow cry
If you’ve ever wondered whether “something feels wrong”...
Then trust your heart.

Be curious.
Learn.
Question.
And if your heart feels the truth…
Make the shift. One step at a time. ๐ŸŒฑ

Why Veganism is a Path of Dharma: A Devotee’s Call to Serve Lord Hanuman and All Living Beings

  1. My Deepest Devotion – Why Hanuman Ji Means Everything to Me Ever since I can remember, I have been drawn to Lord Hanuman . His unmatched strength, his humility, and above all, his unconditional love for his Mother, Father  and   Lord Rama — these qualities made me fall in love with Him. But my devotion didn’t stop with just prayers or chants. Over time, I began to reflect: “What does it really mean to live like Hanuman Ji? What does it mean to serve Him with my heart?” That’s where my vegan journey began — not as a trend, but as an expression of my Bhakti. 2. Hanuman – The Protector of All Living Beings Hanuman Ji is known as the guardian of the weak — the one who helps the helpless. He never harmed a single innocent being. He crossed oceans, lifted mountains, and destroyed evil — but never once for ego. Only for Dharma . He is the symbol of Ahimsa (non-violence) , even though He has the power to destroy the universe. His strength was always under co...
